Calzone Recipe – Step by Step Guide: Calzones are a fun way to eat lunch or dinner. You can think of a calzone as a stuffed pizza pocket because it’s made of Pizza Dough and has meat, cheese, and your choice of sauce inside.

 

Calzone Recipe – Step by Step Guide

Ingredients

  • 2 lb pizza dough
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup salami
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

 

Instruction 

Warm the oven up to 475 °F. Spray oil on the baking sheet or line it with parchment paper. Cut the dough into 8 pieces that are all the same size. Make a circle that is 1/4″ thick out of each piece.

 

The pizza sauce, ricotta, pepperoni, salami, and chopped mozzarella should be put on half of each circle. Make sure to clean up the edges so that you can seal the calzone. Crimp the edges and fold the side over the center.

Leave room between the calzones on a baking sheet. Make a small hole in the top of each calzone. Add Parmesan cheese and brush the tops with oil. After 15 minutes, the bread should be golden brown.
